Building speakers with cabinets made of natural slate is logical.
Its layered structure, its low resonance and its extremely high mass content give the material exceptional acoustic properties that cannot be achieved with other materials in loudspeaker construction.
The commonly used vibration-sensitive wooden speaker cabinets drain energy from the speaker chassis by causing the cabinet walls to vibrate.
In slate cabinets, however, the entire energy of the loudspeaker is available for air excitation.

The energy balance of natural slate is not only outstanding in the bass range. The material's extreme inertia means that the amplitudes of vibrating dome membranes in tweeters are not compensated by the resonating baffles. Here, too, this results in significantly more nuanced and impulsive music reproduction.
The color tone also makes a difference: In addition to the natural slate version, you can also give each box your own personalized color. Sanded and painted in any RAL or automotive color.
