NazaréNET: Silence the Network, Reveal the Music

NazaréNET is Innuos’ flagship audiophile Ethernet switch, engineered to redefine network performance for high-end music streaming by restoring signal integrity at one of the most noise-prone points in the digital chain. It delivers a cleaner, more precisely timed signal to your music streamer or server, revealing greater clarity, natural timing, and musical coherence across the system.

Every element of NazaréNET is conceived around a single principle: remove noise before it ever reaches your system.

Unlike standard switches that prioritise data throughput alone, NazaréNET is engineered for sonic performance. From its circuit topology to its physical construction, each decision is made to preserve the integrity of the audio signal — ensuring that what you hear is not shaped by interference, but by the music itself.

Taking the acclaimed PhoenixNET to a whole new level, NazaréNET introduces an entirely new internal architecture, a significantly enhanced power supply design, and a robust, vibration-controlled chassis shared across the NAZARÉ platform. With one SFP fibre port and four RJ45 connections NazaréNET provides effective ground isolation from routers while managing network traffic to minimise interference and preserve signal purity.

For systems built around the NAZARÉ Music Streamer/Server — and for any high-performance digital front end — NazaréNET unlocks a more immersive, natural, and emotionally engaging listening experience.

MAIN FEATURES

NAZARÉ-Grade Power Supply

The power supply is engineered to the same exacting standard as the NAZARÉ music server — representing the most advanced power design the company has produced to date.

At its core are high-precision, custom-wound toroidal transformers, paired with bespoke Lundahl inductors, forming the foundation for exceptionally clean and stable power delivery. The rectification and filtering stage is built around Innuos’ proprietary GaN-ARC8 modules, developed in collaboration with renowned power supply designer Dr. Sean Jacobs. Using gallium nitride-based active rectification and a substantial energy storage reservoir of 376,000 µF, these modules ensure both speed and stability under dynamic demand.

Regulation is handled by four advanced DC4 modules — also co-developed with Dr. Sean Jacobs — incorporating high-precision foil resistors to maintain an ultra-stable, ultra-low-noise output across all operating conditions. Premium internal cabling completes the design, preserving signal integrity between each stage.

WaveNET Board

The WaveNET board is not adapted from conventional networking hardware — it is purpose-built for audio.

Its ultra-low noise philosophy governs every aspect of the design, from component selection to circuit layout. By addressing the root causes of electrical interference, WaveNET ensures that network signal integrity is maintained at a level far beyond typical consumer or enterprise solutions.

This is where engineering meets listening — where measurable improvements translate directly into audible gains.

Four Dedicated Power Rails

Central to the WaveNET design is four independently regulated and electrically isolated power rails – one for each critical section of the system.

The precision OCXO clock is the timing heartbeat of the switch. Isolating it completely ensures it operates in the quietest possible electrical environment.

The analogue PHY transceivers, responsible for signal transmission and reception, are the most noise-sensitive in the design: they handle tiny analogue signals and are easily disturbed by switching activity elsewhere on the board. A dedicated, clean supply for these circuits is essential to achieving the low noise floor that audiophile performance demands.

The digital Ethernet controller is separated across two independently regulated rails, isolating processing activity from both the clock and analogue transceivers. This careful distribution prevents high-frequency switching noise from reaching the most critical parts of the signal path.

The result is an exceptionally low noise floor and a level of timing accuracy that translates directly into greater coherence, detail, and realism in music reproduction.

NAZARÉ Chassis & OCXO Clock

Timing is everything in digital audio.

NazaréNET employs the proven high-precision OCXO clock, powered by its own dedicated supply and fully isolated from the rest of the system. This ensures an exceptionally stable, low-jitter reference signal — a critical factor in preserving musical timing and natural flow.

Like all the other critical components used within the NAZARÉ series, it is protected by SmartStack technology; a high-performance vibration dampening system developed in collaboration with TONEO that’s applied to every key component to minimise the effect of vibration on sensitive circuitry. An asymmetric design reduces standing waves and resonance within the meticulously engineered 10mm CNC-machined aluminium chassis, supported by system-tuned IsoAcoustic isolation feet.

SFP Fibre Port

Alongside its four RJ45 ports, NazaréNET features an integrated SFP fibre connection, opening new possibilities for system configuration while delivering a level of electrical isolation beyond conventional network design.

By introducing fibre into the signal path, electrical continuity — and with it, noise and interference — can be eliminated at critical points within the network. This allows NazaréNET to create a cleaner, more controlled environment for your audio system, preserving signal integrity where it matters most.

The implementation is built around a reference-grade Finisar SFP module using single-mode fibre — chosen for its ability to transmit light along a single, precisely controlled path. By avoiding the signal dispersion inherent in multimode designs, it ensures greater stability and precision, even across the short cable runs typical in high-end audio systems.

Ultra-Low Noise Operation & Sense Integration

Once configured, NazaréNET becomes effectively silent — electrically and operationally.

Its custom firmware initialises the system and then shuts down the onboard microprocessor entirely, eliminating unnecessary activity and the noise it generates. The result is a switch that performs its function without introducing interference during playback.

NazaréNET can be further optimized via Sense app, allowing you to manage the speed of each individual port – even disable them altogether (available via future firmware update).

This is network infrastructure reduced to its purest form: nothing added, nothing disturbed.
