The pearl in the crown
The Pearl 27 is characterized by a sound with well-defined and controlled bass, a vivid midrange, and precisely reproduced treble. All the details and nuances contained in the music are delivered with clarity, perfectly blending into a single, harmonious whole. The Pearl 27 offers a powerful and structured sound, with a deep soundstage and a precisely articulated overall presentation.
Four drivers, one perfect sound
The power of this 3-way design lies in the three 6.5-inch Pylon Audio PSW 18.8 FGS drivers, designed and manufactured in our factory by skilled craftsmen. One of them is dedicated solely to reproducing the midrange. Known from the smaller Pearl series models, they utilize distinctive white glass-woven cones, ensuring a full and transparent sound. Additionally, they are equipped with vented magnet systems, which increases their power handling capacity and reduces compression at high volume levels.
A 1-inch silk dome tweeter handles the high frequencies, delivering a warm, dynamic, and resolving sound. A specially contoured damping chamber placed behind the driver reduces unwanted resonances, while a front ring eliminates diffraction, resulting in even greater sound clarity.
Precision and freedom
The Pearl 27 enclosures are made of high-density MDF boards, CNC-milled to within 0.2 mm. We've reinforced the structure with a system of reinforcements placed at the points of greatest stress. Their location is deliberate – it was determined based on measurements taken with a laser vibrometer, which allowed us to detect even the slightest vibrations in the enclosure walls at various volume levels. A bass reflex port is located at the front of the enclosure, limiting the influence of the rear wall on the sound and allowing for more flexible placement of the speakers in rooms with demanding acoustics.
