Arcam Radia R25 Bookshelf Speaker

The R25 is the larger of the two Radia Series bookshelf loudspeakers, stepping up to a 6.5-inch Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC) cone woofer for greater low-frequency extension and dynamic authority, while retaining the same 1-inch Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) aluminium dome tweeter and Acoustic Lens waveguide used across the entire Radia range. The result is a bookshelf speaker with noticeably more scale and weight than its smaller sibling, without sacrificing the precision and refinement that define the series.

The two-way crossover is set at 1.7kHz, with the cabinet tuned via a rear-mounted bass-reflex port to deliver a frequency response of 43Hz–40kHz (±6dB). Nominal impedance is 6 ohms, with a sensitivity of 85.5dB at 1M/2.83V, straightforward to drive with any quality amplifier, and particularly well-matched to Arcam's own Radia electronics.

Internally, the cabinet is rigidly cross-braced to minimise resonance and keep the presentation clean and controlled. The Black Walnut veneer finish with subtle yellow Radia accents looks at home in both dedicated listening rooms and contemporary living spaces, while magnetic grilles keep the front baffle uncluttered when you want them to.

Pair the R25 with Arcam's SA35 or SA45 streaming amplifiers and you also unlock Anechoic EQ (AEQ) speaker-specific tuning profiles developed in HARMAN's own anechoic chambers that automatically optimise the amplifier's output for the R25. System-level coherence without the faff.

A strong performer in medium to large rooms, and an equally capable foundation for a premium home cinema build when partnered with the R35C centre channel, R25B subwoofer, and the incoming Radia AVA amplifiers.
