 In Japan they use the word Kaizen, a continual approach to improvement. Custom Design's philosophy for the last 38 years has been to create, challenge and innovate when possible. The Quadraphonic HiFi 2 Isolation Platform is a direct result of such actions.  A wealth of experience in HiFi Furniture manufacturing  and an accumulation of constrained layer dampening knowledge provided Custom Design with a unique HiFi Isolation Furniture strategy.

 The Quadraphonic 2 HiFi Isolation Platform is built upon the total isolation principle of Inter Specific Isolation and Intra Specific Isolation. This design includes a double layer of Intra and Inter Specific Isolation dampening. Resulting in a balanced isolation created by resonance noise vibration being converted in a twin formation to negligible heat. The laws of conversation of energy state "energy cannot be created or destroyed, only change of form". The same patented polymer, dampening system creates Inter Specific competition between the 2 different materials at different frequencies. The balanced interaction of the materials helping to provide total isolation solutions. Intra Specific competition is the completion of resonance absorption between the same material. The efficiency of energy conservation increased further by the use of varying thickness, allowing the patent polymer to operate at maximum performance for each materials resonance frequency.

 The Quadraphonic 2 HiFi Isolation Platform design includes a ground breaking way to create Inter Specific Isolation and Intra Specific isolation. A direct result of the pioneering Quadraphonic iRAP with a balanced philosophy and total Isolation success.

 Importantly the Quadraphonic design is manufactured from 2 different thicknesses of CR4 mild steel. The varying thickness of each layer competes to convert the resonance noise energy of different frequencies.  Each thickness of the CR4 mild steel engages with the patented polymer to eliminate unwanted frequencies to negligible heat. This Intra Specific Isolation reaction strikes a balance between the different dampening system to provide the best Isolation conversation rate possible. 

 The Intra Specific Isolation Aluminium shelves are also manufactured from 2 different thicknesses of aluminium. As the different thickness of aluminium compete to convert the resonance noise vibration energy to negligible heat, at a completely different frequency range to the inert steel, hence the full range of resonance noise vibrations and frequencies are converted. The Intra Specific Isolation system provides an offset and balanced isolation solution to the Inter Specific Isolation of the Inert Steel.  Another layer of Intra Specific Isolation which eliminates completely different frequencies for the Quadraphonic 2 HiFi Isolation Platform. 

 The Inter Specific Isolation is created by the use 2 different types of material, the Inert Steel offering a high mass with density and the Inert Aluminium offering a lighter mass and rigid platform which results in a well balanced, elimination of resonance noise vibration throughout the design structure of the Quadraphonic HiFi 2 Isolation Platform. Through research and development this formation has proven to be the most efficient ratio for converting resonance energy with the viscoelastic properties available.

 The Inert Steel and Inert Aluminium Intra and Inter Specific Isolation Technology  platforms are isolated from each other using 10mm solid steel bearing in either a tri or quad point isolation configuration for the best performance results.

 The 3 corner satellite supports are manufactured from 50mm ERW BS EN 10305-3 steel tubes, available in Black, Polished Chrome or Brushed Chrome finish. Combined with the high mass, hand made and hand finished 7mm Inert Steel Isolation Platform and the 6mm Inert Aluminium iRAP shelves results in an individual, unique, acoustically inert hifi isolation stand, with just the correct amount of mechanical feedback to provide the dynamic range with headroom. The acoustic improvements are substantial compared with traditional manufacturing methods and materials. The Triphonic HiFi 2 Isolation Platform is a unique, acoustically inert platform for our customers who demand and require a more exciting, dynamic performance from their hifi Isolation furniture.
