Description

A Bowers & Wilkins 600 S3 5.1 system built around the Denon AVC-X3900H. Pick your fronts, surrounds and subwoofer from the dropdowns; the matching centre is included automatically.

Denon AVC-X3900H

Nine channels at 105W with 11.4 processing, so a 5.1 today can grow to 7.2.4 without changing the amp. Four independent subwoofer outputs, Audyssey room correction as standard and Dirac Live ready. Atmos, DTS:X, Auro-3D and IMAX Enhanced across six 8K HDMI inputs. More amp than a 600 S3 system strictly needs, which is the point: tighter bass control, better room correction and headroom to upgrade the speakers later.

Fronts

• 603 S3 — The floorstander. Titanium Dome tweeter, 6in Continuum mid/bass and twin 6.5in paper bass units. Real scale and bass weight for the money; the obvious choice for anything bigger than a small lounge.
• 606 S3 — The larger standmount: Titanium Dome tweeter and a 6.5in Continuum driver. On stands and with one of the subs below it covers a medium room with ease and makes a strong music system too.
• 607 S3 — The compact standmount with a 5in Continuum driver. Small enough for shelves and brackets, and with a sub handling the bottom end it makes a tidy 5.1 in a bedroom, snug or flat.

Centre (included automatically)

• HTM6 S3 — Twin 5in Continuum drivers either side of the Titanium Dome tweeter. Timbre-matched to every 600 S3 model, so dialogue sits in the same voice as the fronts.

Surrounds

• 607 S3 — The natural surround for the range: compact, easy to bracket or stand-mount, same tweeter and cone material as the fronts.
• 606 S3 — More weight at the back for larger rooms or multichannel music. Pairs well with 603s up front.

Subwoofer

• ASW608 — 8in driver, 200W. Compact and quick; plenty for a 607/606-based system in a smaller room.
• ASW610 — 10in driver, 200W, deeper reach and more output. The one to choose with 603s or in a bigger space.
