A Comprehensive Redesign of the Patented EM Cell
SR's Electromagnetic Cells are their foundational building block, primarily responsible for line conditioning. While previous upgrades to the PowerCell brought forth improvements, the advancement has not been as revolutionary as it is today because we’ve fundamentally rethought the construction of the EM cell versus continuing to refine it:

PowerCell 14 incorporates a comprehensive redesign of the EM cell, which more efficiently filters out contaminants to the signal. This delivers a notiecably lower noise floor and far superior dynamics.
The effective surface area of the cell has gone up 100 fold over previous generations, delivering  a significant increase in electromagnetic conditioning!
The EM cell doubles as a supercapacitor, and the amount of available energy it can deliver has also gone up 100x! This enables even the most power-hungry amplifiers to sound more dynamic with better leading-edge transients when plugged into the PowerCell 14, vs plugging it straight to the wall.

PowerCell 14 delivers more information and creates a smoother, more holographic image in a more accurate sound field than any previous generation of PowerCell.

Re-engineered ULF and DC Biasing
Ultra Low-Frequency (or ULF), at its most basic, is how SR ‘reclocks’ the music to the Schumann Resonance, essentially applying an ultra-low frequency pulse of energy inside the unit, which has a profound cleansing effect on electromagnetic circuits. Although this is an active circuit, it is not in the signal path, so it passively filters out ambient RF and extreme high frequency noise which would otherwise degrade sound. The PowerCell 14  incorporates a Galileo SX PowerCell power supply and ULF Field Generator, but with some big improvements.

First, SR reformulated the ULF RF bias with lessons learned during development of the SRX PowerCell and their VooDoo streamer.  Then, they improved the way ULF Bias is applied while simultaneously finding greater efficiency in how the ULF and DC integrate with the EM Cells. The ultra-low noise power supply, deveolped specifically for this unit delivers highly precise DC voltage and 24K Gold UEF tuning circuits (first implemented in this unit) bring greater harmonic richness and enhanced musicality.

With these advancements, SR is now able to precisely control the phase points between the frequencies used for bias, delivering a more favorable and welcoming response to your music.

Three frequency bias choices, one perfect sound!

• Blue (Default): This option offers a laid-back midrange with a linear transition of notes from low frequencies to midrange to highs, creating a large and enveloping sound stage.
• Green: The midrange is slightly more forward compared to the Blue option, with a bit more bass emphasis.
• Red: Convincingly portrays large-scale performances and electronic music.

Grounding, Elevated.
The internal power supply and ULF Generator in the PowerCell 14 are further enhanced with a UEF Ground Plane first developed for the Galileo SX PowerCell. Grounding the PowerCell14 lowers the noise floor, increases soundstaging and improves imaging. For even better performance ground the PowerCell 14 to one of SR's Active Ground Blocks! Each step up the Active Ground Block chain improves low-frequency weight and attack, lowers the noise floor even further and thanks to the handy ground socket on the rear of the PowerCell 14, you can upgrade your unit without sacrificing an outlet!

Form Elevates Function
The PowerCell 14 chassis is mechanically and electromagnetically voiced. Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, carbon fiber and plexiglass, this design strategically dampens and directs mechanical resonance from the ambient environment, This can be the energy created by your loudspeakers and how that feeds back into the power circuit or it can be the vibrations generated by other components on the rack, even the transformers within the PowerCell 14! The material makeup, physical size, and windows into the unit are all designed to optimize the efficiency and directivity of the electromagnetic fields generated by the EM cells to bring sound as close to real life as possible.
